Innovation drives the Polish railway
Poland is one of the largest rail transport markets in the world, with a rapidly growing industry in terms of off-the-shelf solutions, components and technologies. The rail infrastructure here is almost 20,000 km long and is a key transit hub in Europe. In 2024, 407.5 million passengers will use rail services, 8.8% more than in the previous year. At the same time, freight transport reached 223.5 million tonnes, demonstrating Poland’s growing importance in the European logistics system. Dynamic freight growth and exports worth nearly USD 2 billion in 2024 confirm Poland’s growing strength and importance as a key player in the European market in this sector.
